This week, OpenAI introduced GPT-4o. With that release, they announced that the GPT Store is now open to everyone with the free account. And, since today is Global Accessibility Awareness Day (GAAD), I’m excited to share that this means you can use our Accessibility Ally GPT without a paid subscription!
Image Description
This is a screenshot of the Accessibility Ally GPT chat. This GPT is great for assistance with creating more accessible eLearning content. There are four prompts to explore, including how to set focus order in Articulate Storyline, how to make a PDF more accessible using Adobe Acrobat, generating alt text for an image, and creating accessible Microsoft Word documents. There is also a chat bar that allows you to upload files and ask your own specific questions.
One of my favorite use cases for this GPT is to have it write alt text for images that you can edit for your purposes. I regularly train this GPT for additional functionality that is geared toward instructional designers and eLearning developers, but it is useful for assistance with making any type of digital content more accessible to a wide range of people.
