SUMMARY:Learn xAPI at Canadian Elearning Conference
DESCRIPTION:Sean will be facilitating a workshop at the Canadian Elearning Conference in July\, 2019. \nIn this workshop\, we will provide a guided learning experience for those that have heard of xAPI\, attended a session or two on xAPI\, and are ready to start working on a project or develop to this new standard. We will spend a short time level setting and updating attendees on the current state of xAPI. We will spend time teaching data strategy with a group exercise based on a course that has already been created. We will break out into smaller groups with focused time with rapid development tools and custom coding. Experts will guide attendees through the process of using the tools to create an xAPI-enabled project. During the breakouts the attendees will build their own version of a project to take away from the workshop. We will focus on both the built-in xAPI capabilities of the tools and methods for extending the tools using moderate customization and coding some mild customization.
